Access & Download UAN Passbook Online

EPFO has recently started a facility for employees to access their UAN passbooks and download them. Through this facility, employees can view and download the latest transaction information available with EPFO on their UAN numbers.

To access your UAN passbook online, follow the below steps:

• Go to the employee portal website of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). The website is http://epfindia.gov.in/.
• Log in using your username and password provided by EPF/PFRDA/HERA etc., if you have one, or use the “Login” button from the top menu bar if not logged in yet in your browser window

Click on the “UAN” option from the left menu bar. You will be directed to the UAN Status page with your UAN number and other details.

• Go to the EPFO portal and click on the ‘Member Passbook’ tab under the ‘Our Services section.
• Enter your UAN in the space provided and enter your password as 1@2#3$

Click on the ‘Login’ button to view your passbook. You can also view the passbook by downloading it as a PDF and taking a printout of it. If you have forgotten your password, the EPFO has provided a facility to reset it. To reset your password, visit the EPFO portal and click on the ‘Forgot Password’ tab under the ‘My Profile section of your dashboard. You will be required to enter your UAN number and other details such as date of birth etc.

• Go to the EPFO portal by clicking here.
• You will be asked for your user id and password, which you can find on your enrollment form or in the DNE application.
• Once logged in, click on the Passbook option from the top menu bar of the home page and log in with your details as shown below:

• Click on the ‘Member Passbook’ tab under the ‘Our Services section. You will get redirected to a new page.
• Enter your UAN and password, then click on the login button to access your account information from where you can download or print your passbook online easily by following the steps mentioned below:
• First, click on the “Login” button which is located at the top right corner of your browser window;
• Then enter your login details (email address and password);
• After entering both those details successfully, you will be redirected back to where it all started – The member Passbook page;
• Now select whether you want to download or print out this document by clicking either option as per your requirement of yours

Step 3

• Enter your UAN in the space provided and enter your password as 1@2#3$.
• Click on ‘Login’.

Step 4

You will be redirected to a new page where you need to enter your new password. Enter a new password of your choice and re-enter it again in the space provided. Click on ‘Submit’. You will now be able to see your UAN-based passbook containing details of transactions made by you and/or your employer to date.
